The Enterprise Data Services Branch (EDSB) administers, organizes, and manages all KYTC relevant data on multiple platforms including internal and external sources.  The Branch created and continues to maintain the Cabinet’s Transportation Data Warehouse, named TED. The Branch provides formal and ad hoc reporting services to users and applications to provide data driven decision making capability to Transportation Cabinet executive staff as well as users.  EDSB also provides a transparent view of Cabinet activities to the public, and works closely with other State Agencies, the Federal Highway Administration and business units within the Transportation Cabinet on data needs.

This branch helps the Cabinet and its customers understand, safely use, & manage our transportation network. We help them make decisions easier, & faster using spatial tools (GIS, GPS, etc.). We also integrate information into easily consumable formats, like interactive maps and dashboards.

“One function of the Branch is to manage procurement and purchase of all KYTC software, manage software maintenance and renewals, and assess software requests and research Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) software to help find the best fit for the requestor and the Cabinet”
